One-Year Follow-Up

Grieves Chiropractic in Shawano, Wisconsin publishes the results of our data in order to assist patients with health care decisions. For comparison purposes, we have also provided information regarding chronicity rates for medical management. The Institute of Evidence-Based Chiropractic designed and supervised the data collection, performed data analysis and produced this report. The patient data for this study was captured at least one year after the discharge visit.

Outcomes for Patients with more than 12 weeks of symptoms at baseline

Low Back Pain Patients including discogenic sciatica & spinal stenosis:

Chronicity rates under medical protocols, including physical therapy.

The results of medical research studies show that 7 to 34% of medical patients with an acute attack of back pain will still have severe back pain with substantial activity limitations 1 year following the onset.

Patient Satisfaction

We collect anonymous data from our patients regarding their satisfaction with the clinic staff, doctor, and facility. Patients rated the quality of their daily care on a scale of 1 - 5 with 1 being “terrible” and 5 being “excellent”. Twenty-five items were rated relating to reliability of service, assurance and dependability, empathy of doctor and staff and responsiveness to individual patient needs.
